The flood of mangoes in the summers somewhat over shadows the other very important and vital fruits. And one such forgotten fruit remains to be the Falsa or Grewia.

This small, round, berry-like fruit thrives in the tropical climate of Pakistan and found in abundance here. It is cheap but extremely nutritious. Its a nice refreshing and healthy snack that doesn't spoil the appetite if consumed in moderation at any time of the day.

Although many recipes can be made out of falsas but the most and popular and the one most suited for summers is the Falsay ka Sharbat...consult the drinks section for the recipe and for more on the benefits of falsas!
